The cover and the title sold me on this book, the descriptions of the setting seemed real but the storyline was boring and I wish they would keep the sex out of it or at least leave it to our imagination...I never finished this and I would never recommend to any one else to read.
This book was amazing, a best read in a long time. All the characters were so real, the book was hard to put down, the author did a great job. Looking forward to another.

Thanks for the walk down memory lane The thing I liked the most about this book is that it took me back to my own 'crew' from the neighborhood and school. I couldn't put it down. I called all my friends and told them to buy it. I like being able to figure things out before the end of the movie or book but this one even stumped me. I look forward to reading the next book Anne puts out so get to writing.
THIS BOOK WAS THE BEST I ENJOYED EVERYTHING ABOUT IT EXCEPT THAT I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A SECOND BOOK THAT SHOWS RAINY MOVING ON IN HER LIFE. THE BOOK BRINGS U IN FROM THE BEGINNING ONCE UR IN U DONT WANNA PUT THE BOOK DOWN. LIFE IS NOT ALWAYS AS BLACK AND WHITE AS WE SEE IT, THINGS DO HAPPEN AND THIS BOOK BRINGS OUT ALOT OF LIFE AND THINGS THAT CAN A DO HAPPEN. TO ME THE BOOK WASNT BORING IT JUST NEED A SECOND ONE TO FOLLOW.

I tried, I fought to get through this book and it was just simply so boring that I had to stop after the first couple chapters. It wasn't written poorly it just had no 'wow' factor.
Ending was surprising! Epicted childhood characters growing up and supporting each other. Main characters have a strange, everlasting love for one another.
The ending of this book totally wow me. I did not see that one coming. I was very happy with the conclusion but sad the story ended. This was an excellent love story with suspense. This book had my attention. I could not wait to get back home to continue reading the book. As I read the book, it took me back to my younger days. I love those old songs. The characters were very well written. I found myself happy that Rainy was happy. I was worried about her health, so much stuff on her plate. I wanted to cry when she cried. I felt so bad for Sampson's mom. I wanted to smack Doc. I wanted to ask Sampson WTF you do now? How the hell you find these "psychos". At times I liked Sampson and was hoping him and Rainy got back together and other times I was like that son of B does not deserve you Rainy. I wanted his crazy butt to be innocent. Candace cracked me up. Her @ss is psycho. Highly recommend this book. This is my first time reading one of Annie's books. I look forward to reading more of her books. Thank you, Annie, for the walk down memory lane.
