ABOUT THE CYBORGS MANKIND REDEFINED SERIES
This is a science fiction and fantasy romance series. These Cyborg romance heroes are genetically engineered military men who have been cybernetically imprisoned after a near-apocalyptic global war. The heroine in Book 1 appears briefly in every book as one by one she and her team attempt to restore each cyborg soldier's humanity.
Each book in the series deals with a different restored cyborg. Each story also contains lots of action and adventure, some violence and language, and hopefully some laughs as they readjust to the craziness of human existence.

Fantastic Cyborg/Sci-fi. I'm really picky about my cyborg romance. I don't like them too automated with odd speech patterns and I don't like them to be overt sex fiends. LOL. Donna McDonald hits the mark in Peyton 313. I discovered the book in my recommended and since I'm a huge fan of the Demon of Synar series I immediately one clicked and spent the next several hours devouring the book. The author does a fantastic job of world building and setting up the future of 2146. The great wars are over and soldiers who volunteered to be enhanced have been retired into a pseudo existence where their memories have been hacked and blocked. This is because the government has decided that the wonderful cyber soldiers they created are too dangerous to release back into the human population. Dr. Kyra worked on the cybernetic program with the greatest intentions. She is extremely intelligent and believed fully in the program that turned military men into great soldiers. Unfortunately the government as always in the fiction world takes her idea and twists it for their own cruel purpose. That brings us to the beginning of the book where the heroine decides to see if she can restore a cyborg to his "humanity" and not have him turn into a raving crazy soldier as the government predicts. This brings us the handsome, charming and very flirtatious captain Peyton. *swoon* Peyton is an Alpha that has a wicked sense of humor and from the moment Kyra awakens him, he is easy to fall in love with. Not sure how Kyra resisted as long as she did. LOLWithout giving spoilers I love the take on cyborgs in McDonald's book. The romance is prevalent but the plot and overall arc of the story had me mentally begging to see if readers would know if Kyra's research would work or if we'd have to wait for book 2. I glanced at the % complete every for tabs in fear :) Fortunately for my heart we do get to see Kyra "save" Peyton as much as is possible for a man that has been cybernetically enhanced and we also get a brief glimpse of his old marine unit. Fingers crossed that we don't have to wait long for book 2 since there are several cyborgs that I'm dying to see get their HEA.
This story has it all and is wonderfully written. While I found Kyra to be a crybaby in the first 25% of the book, I love that the hero references her abundance of tears and that the author also pokes fun at Kyra's martyr complex. When you understand her guilt and how much she holds herself responsible, you understand and Peyton is there to help her get over it so that the rest of the book is Kyra being the scientific rock star on a mission and she certainly proves at the end that she's made of tougher stuff. Definitely worth a re-read to catch any nuances missed and to enjoy the beauty that is Peyton

Donna McDonald has written a story about a scientist's redemption and the wrongs that made Cyber Soldier's into slaves. Krya Winters thought she was doing the right thing years ago when she helped start the Cyber Military that won peace for the world. Then her Husband got greedy, instead of attempting to reverse the procedures the soldiers that had served so honorably were refitted to become house husbands for wealthy women, sex slaves with no memories of what they had been. Some that couldn't be transferred into that were used as hard labor, Kyra spoke up but her husband, thru the most savage means got her over ruled. He began turning women, and when he started working on children Kyra had seen enough. She planned to get Major Peyton Elliot cyborg Peyton 313 and make him the leader of the resistance, and storm the Labs, destroying their ability to continue their despicable work on the innocents. Peyton is instantly attracted to her, but when she gives him his memories and mind back he's furious with her for being a part of stealing over 10 yrs of his life. This story has twist and turns, and romance tossed in to spice things up. The sex isn't overly graphic but just enough to make you sit back after and wonder where can you get one of these hunks.. Will she be able to free his mind without destroying it as she had with her first two attempts? Is he a spy that will turn on her and stop her desires to right the wrongs? She needs his help can she get it? What will be the price her heart or her life? This is a series I can't wait to continue to see what is next for the cyborgs and her redemption. I would highly recommend for a lazy day read or a couple of spicy night chapters.. It comes together wonderfully without too much science speak, and just the right touches of emotions of all sides of thee spectrum. Enjoy !

Peyton 313 Book One of Cyborgs Mankind Redefined by Donna McDonald is absolutely brilliant and totally blew me away! I was drawn into the story immediately and held completely enthralled until the very last page. First, I would like to state for the record, although this is the first book of a series, it is a standalone novel and does not end in an actual cliffhanger. The couple, Dr Kyra Winters and Marine Captain Peyton Elliot, featured in this book do get their happy ending but this release sets the stage and gives us the premise for the entire series. The story was well researched, well crafted, well executed and exceptionally well written and edited. The language and science was imaginative yet realistic. The characters were well developed, engaging, endearing and surprisingly, at times, laugh out loud funny. They came to life and became more real with each page I read. I cried for them, empathized with them and sometimes, also laughed with them. I became completely vested in their well-being and survival. The added elements of romance, mystery, intrigue and suspense were brilliantly interwoven into the story. The dialogue was smart, witty and flowed effortlessly. And the plot for this story is a stroke of genius. This book was downright sexy as hell! The interaction between the two protagonists was completely captivating and their sexual chemistry so hot it sizzled! It was utter perfection! I loved it! If you love science fiction/ cyborg romantic suspense/adventure, then I highly recommend trying this remarkable book. It's a wonderful adventure! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read! I can hardly wait to read Books Two and Three which have already been published. Any guesses on what I just bought from ? Yep, you guessed it Kingston 691 Book Two of Cyborgs Mankind Redefined!
